Prac Teaching Application
Job No:
ICS25008
Location:
Cordeaux Heights
At Illawarra Christian School, we are committed to supporting Christian pre-service teachers who are passionate about integrating their faith into their teaching practice. If you are interested in completing your practicum with us, please review the following requirements to ensure you align with our values and expectations.
Faith-Based Requirements
We require that all pre-service teachers are practicing Christians who regularly attend a Protestant, evangelical church (weekly or fortnightly). It is essential that you can confidently articulate the good news of Jesus Christ and his redemptive work on the cross. Our parent community has chosen Illawarra Christian School because we employ Christian staff who can share and live out the gospel, and we apply these same requirements to every staff member at our school.
Application Process
- Read Our Statement of Faith: Before applying, please read our Statement of Faith (in the application below) to ensure your beliefs align with ours.
- Submit Application: Complete the online application form, which includes questions about the Bible and your personal faith.
- Referee Check: We will conduct a referee check with the Minister or Pastor of your church to confirm your active participation and commitment to your faith community.
- Interview: Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with the Principal to discuss their suitability and alignment with our school's values.
We believe in providing the best possible experience for our pre-service teachers, and it is important that they share our commitment to Christian education. If you meet these requirements and are eager to grow both professionally and spiritually, we encourage you to apply for a practicum placement with us by completing the questions below.
