Position Overview
The Food Technology Teacher will play a vital role in facilitating effective learning experiences for secondary students. This position involves the delivery of the Food Technology curriculum while supporting the holistic growth and academic care of students. The Teacher will collaborate with fellow educators and pastoral leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to education and student wellbeing.
This role requires a commitment to the school's mission, vision, and values, integrating a biblical perspective into teaching practices and engaging with the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality teaching and learning experiences in Food Technology from a Christian worldview.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers to implement the 7-12 Learning Framework.
- Provide mentorship and support within pastoral care groups, focusing on academic and personal development.
- Utilise ICT to enhance learning outcomes and maintain effective classroom management.
- Collect and analyze data to improve teaching practices and student learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff, utilising the school's online learning management system.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dedicated professional who aligns with our values and is committed to Christian education. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid, paid Working with Children Check.
- Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications and accredited with NESA.
- Experience in teaching Food Technology at the secondary level.
- Strong understanding of pedagogy and curriculum implementation.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in a faith-based environment.
- A genuine Christian faith of reformed persuasion, with active commitment to a local church.
